Black-holes! And devastating
Tornadoes! And devouring
Quicksands! And solitary
Drownings! And closing-in
Spiderwebs! And deafening
Water-falls!
Until a feminine hand pulled open
The parachute, slowing the descent...
Time to see the monsters
Not so monstrous,
The savage
Not so vicious,
The villain
Not so uncivilized,
The obscene
Not so shameful,
Time to trust that I also belong in safe landings.
